Mai Sedki, MD, is a Delivery Science Research Fellow at the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Division of Research. Her research focuses on identifying risk factors for and outcomes of gastrointestinal cancers. She has previously worked on projects examining outcomes of liver transplantation in patients with hepatitis C infection. She is mentored by Drs. Douglas Corley and Richard Grant.
Dr. Sedki received her medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She also earned her bachelor's degree in romance languages, psychology, and biology at Wayne State. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in public health at the University of California, Berkeley, with an emphasis in epidemiology and biostatistics. Dr. Sedki is board certified in internal medicine and is a physician with The Permanente Medical Group, practicing at Kaiser Permanente hospitals in Roseville and San Francisco.
