The objective of the Infusing Needed Iron to Target Insufficiency in Adults Treated for Evidence of Heart Failure (INITIATE-HF) study is to conduct a large-scale, cost-effective, and efficient cluster randomized controlled trial to evaluate the role of IV iron repletion in a real-world, diverse cohort of hospitalized heart failure patients receiving care within an integrated and learning health system.
