Ankeet Bhatt , MD, MBA, ScM

Ankeet S. Bhatt, MD, MBA, ScM is a research scientist at the Division of Research and an associate physician and practicing cardiologist and intensivist at the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center. Dr. Bhatt’s research interests include cardio-renal-metabolic disease, with a particular focus on clinical trials, heart failure, shock, and implementation and care delivery science.

Dr. Bhatt earned his undergraduate degree in biological sciences at the University of Connecticut, where he completed both medical and business training in a joint MD/MBA program. He completed his residency at the Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, followed by fellowships in cardiovascular diseases and critical care medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. He completed a 2-year research fellowship under the mentorship of Drs. Scott Solomon, David Morrow, Marc Pfeffer, and Muthiah Vaduganathan at Harvard Medical School and earned a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Dr. Bhatt has presented his research at national and international scientific congresses and participates in the leadership of several large implementation science trials in cardiovascular disease. He has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed manuscripts and currently serves as the Section Editor of Implementation & Care Delivery Science for the Journal of Cardiac Failure.
