Carlisha Hall, PhD, MSPH, is a post-doctoral research fellow in the Mental Health Research Network T32 program at Kaiser Permanente. She received her doctorate in Public Health from the University of California, Merced. Her dissertation work focused on suicidality, health and mortality among African Americans.

Carlisha aims to further her research on suicidal behavior among African Americans. She is interested in social determinants of suicidality among African Americans as well as the efficacy of mental health services and prevention strategies for suicidal behavior. She is also interested in mental health disparities and suicidal behavior among sexual minorities populations. Carlisha aspires to work with providers and organizations to address cultural and socioeconomic barriers that may prevent individuals from receiving mental health treatment. She also hopes to work with organizations using her research expertise to develop, disseminate, and evaluate programs supporting mental wellness in vulnerable populations.
