Tanya Horwitz, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Kaiser Permanente Division of Research and a member of the Autism Research Program in the Women’s and Children’s Health Section. She studies how gene-environment interactions and other factors contribute to the development and expression of autism. She is also interested in autistic people’s reproductive and mental health experiences, as well as their experiences with the health care system.
Dr. Horwitz completed her PhD in the Behavioral, Psychiatric, and Statistical Genetics Program within the Department of Psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Wesleyan University. Prior to starting as a Research Fellow at the Division of Research, she was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Clinical Science at the University of California Berkeley.
