Molly LaPoint, PhD, is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Division of Research. She completed her PhD in Neuroscience at UC Berkeley, where she studied MRI and PET markers of early Alzheimer’s disease. Prior to receiving her PhD, she earned her BS in Psychology at Boston College and conducted postbaccalaureate research with the Harvard Aging Brain Study at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. LaPoint is interested in understanding how life-course factors influence cognitive aging outcomes. She works with data from the KHANDLE, STAR, and LifeAfter90 studies to investigate how early-life experiences, racial/ethnic disparities, and sex affect dementia outcomes and MRI measures of brain health in older adults.
