Jorge Ledesma, PhD, MPH, is a postdoctoral delivery science research fellow at the Kaiser Permanente Northern California (KPNC) Division of Research. His research interests include designing, implementing, and evaluating novel interventions for improving the cascade of care for a wide range of infectious diseases. His current work is focused on investigating gaps in tuberculosis infection screening and treatment targets across high-risk populations.
Prior to his arrival at KPNC, Jorge completed his PhD in Epidemiology at the Brown University School of Public Health where he received rigorous training in causal inference while producing a research program aiming to improve health system resilience. He also earned his Master of Public Health from the University of Washington (UW). At UW, he was the primary modeler for global tuberculosis burden estimation in the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study within the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation.
