Ana Rosen Vollmar, PhD, CPM, LM, is a postdoctoral Translational Research Fellow at the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Division of Research, Women’s and Children’s Health section. She earned her PhD in Public Health, Environmental Health Sciences, from the Yale School of Public Health. Ana is also a Certified Professional Midwife and California Licensed Midwife and worked as a midwife prior to completing her PhD.
Ana’s research focuses on reproductive, maternal-child, and environmental health challenges during the first 1,000 days, from pre-conception to age two – a critical period when clinical, public health, and policy interventions can profoundly impact health outcomes and disparities across the lifespan. Her past research investigated the impact of everyday chemical exposures on fertility and pregnancy loss. She currently works on projects examining the influence of prenatal environmental exposures on maternal prenatal and postpartum cardiometabolic disorders, and early childhood neurodevelopmental outcomes.
