This collaborative study between the California Professional Firefighters and Kaiser Permanente aims to better understand how being a firefighter affects overall health, and cancer specifically, and to develop and promulgate health promoting information that targets firefighters. The analyses will focus on the frequency and rates of cancer and specific types of cancer, comparison of these to similar California data, and qualitative examination of these data to other cancer studies of firefighters.
