Center for Transdisciplinary ELSI Research in Translational Genomics

The aims of this application are to: (1) develop an Exploratory Center of Excellence in ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) Research (CEER) focused on translating genomic research into clinical care; (2) develop multi-institutional collaborations and partnerships with diverse communities in order to identify emerging ELSI issues with respect to genetics research and the incorporation of genetic information into clinical care; (3) pilot test 3 research projects along the translational research spectrum; (4) plan for the submission of a Specialized Center CEER application that includes the University of California San Francisco and UC Hastings College of Law.
