Multi-Ethnic Multi-Cancer Early Detection and Screening (MED SCREEN) Study

Multi-Ethnic Multi-Cancer Early Detection and Screening (MED SCREEN) Study
This study will build a collaborative NCI Cancer Screening Research Network ACCESS Hub between Kaiser Permanente Northern and Southern California to conduct the 3-arm Vanguard Study, a feasibility study that will evaluate selected Multicancer detection (MCD) tests and inform the design of a future multi-site randomized controlled trial (RCT) for emerging cancer screening modalities. We will recruit, enroll, and retain at least 2,400 Vanguard study participants; develop and assess processes to effectively communicate results of MCD tests to participants and their providers; develop and evaluate new care pathways for follow-up after negative and positive MCD tests; and evaluate outcomes, benefits, and harms of MCD tests compared to standard of care cancer screening.
