The Kaiser Permanente Northern California Division of Research (KP-DOR) AIM-HI Coordinating Center has been established to lead a research effort that evaluates the implementation of existing Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning algorithms to enhance diagnostic decision-making.
The primary objective of this initiative is to advance research methods, identify best practices, and build capacity for effectively implementing and rigorously evaluating the use of AI/ML algorithms for diagnostic decision-making in real-world settings.
The KP-DOR AIM-HI Coordinating Center has selected a portfolio of 5 projects at various health care systems across the country. AIM-HI is committed to funding high-quality research while also creating a project portfolio from health care systems that is reflective of the current real-world landscape of AI/ML capabilities in health care.
AIM-HI is providing 3 years of funding for 5 proposals of prospective AI/ML implementation-effectiveness health system studies with a total budget of up to $750,000 each.
