Reframing the conversation on weight and cancer survivorship

In this episode of KP Research Radio, Sue Rochman speaks with DOR Research Scientists Bette Caan, DrPH, and Elizabeth Cespedes Feliciano, ScD, whose studies have shown that body composition — which incorporates both muscle and adipose tissue, or fat — is a better measure than Body Mass Index (BMI) for studying weight, cancer risk, and cancer outcomes. Their findings are opening up new avenues for research on ways to improve cancer survivorship.
